The very rare ‘Long-lashed Crocoshoeus’ Honey Bee

This artwork was created to highlight the effect of waste on bees. Wild bees have been found to be building nests from waste plastic in the environment which creates unhealthy nesting environments. Bees already effected by air pollution are vital in the sustainability of the food system and eco system.
Made from old and found objects this bee has been created using crocs, crop top padding insert, bed spring, old paint brushes, old clipper combs, buttons, friendship band loom rings & florist packaging
