With 8 million pieces of plastic found in oceans daily, I’ve created my artwork in the hope that we can become aware of how waste can impact the environment, especially facemasks during COVID-19 due to an estimated 1.56 billion face masks that have entered the oceans in 2020. These masks will take 450 years to break down and kill countless marine life. Hopefully by educating others through my artworks it will create an impact on the environment and help people rethink where they put their waste
