I chose to reuse and recycle denim fabric of worn-out jeans from my family. The variation in texture and colour of the denim created from wear over time, was my inspiration. By unpicking and unfolding cuff hems and the patterns in the denim made from the dye. I cut and machine stitched the pieces for denim together for the front and back of the bag. Jeans leg denim was used for the sides and lining. Waistbands were perfect for the top of the bag and the handles too. On these I added visible tan topstitching for structure and decoration.
