The artwork depicts the Gunbalanya dreamtime story of the blue tongue lizard. The students looked at and combined both traditional and modern Indigenous styles to create the artwork. The lizard was drawn by two year 6 students. The thousand odd bottle tops and lids were glued onto shapes cut from old real estate signs. The lids and tops are collected by the Middleton School community throughout the year.
The artwork is 5m by 3m in size.
