Statement: for my aluminium sculpture I made a sunflower emerging from two bauxite rocks. This is to resemble the rock bauxite that is mined to create aluminium which can take 200-500 years to decompose. That is why I have made a sunflower, to show that from something so terrible and destructive good can still grow and show us the better side of our world.
